Uptyrn is a community-driven platform that allows users to submit structured, predefined responses about their job application and interview experiences. The purpose of the platform is to provide insight and transparency into hiring communication practices — helping job seekers better understand what to expect when applying to companies.

2. Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old to use Uptyrn. By creating an account, you confirm that you meet this requirement. We do not knowingly allow individuals under 18 to register or submit data.

3. Data is a Guide, Not a Guarantee

Everything on Uptyrn comes directly from real people sharing their real experiences — and that's what makes it valuable. But it also means we can't verify every submission or guarantee that every data point is perfectly accurate. Here's what to keep in mind:

• Submissions reflect individual experiences and perceptions, which may vary
• Statistics are aggregated averages — they paint a picture, not a guarantee
• Use this data as a helpful guide, not a definitive prediction of what will happen to you
• You're responsible for how you use and interpret the information on the platform

Think of Uptyrn like a compass — it helps point you in a direction, but the journey is still yours.

4. Playing Fair — How We Ask You to Use Uptyrn

Uptyrn works because people share honestly. We ask everyone to contribute with good intentions — sharing what actually happened, to the best of their knowledge. That's all it takes to keep this community trustworthy and useful for everyone.

To protect the community, please don't:

• Submit false or intentionally misleading information
• Use bots or automated tools to submit or manipulate data
• Try to reverse engineer or extract the platform's underlying code or data
• Attempt to disrupt or overload the service
• Scrape data from the platform without our written permission
• Create multiple accounts to game the statistics
• Use the platform in any way that breaks the law

If someone seriously misuses the platform, we may need to suspend or remove their account to protect everyone else. We'd rather not — but we reserve the right to do so.

5. Your Submissions & How We Use Them

When you submit a review or experience on Uptyrn, you grant us a perpetual, irrevocable, royalty-free licence to use, store, display, and analyse that submission as part of the platform. This lets us do what the platform is built to do — turn individual experiences into meaningful, aggregated insights for the community.

Here's what that looks like in practice:

• Your submission is stored and displayed as part of the platform's aggregated data
• It is combined with others to produce meaningful statistical insights and charts for the community
• It may be used as an input to AI-generated summaries — based solely on aggregated numbers and response patterns, never on personal data or individual responses
• It helps improve the platform and the experience for everyone who uses it
• After account deletion, your submission remains as a permanent, dissociated contribution to the platform, with direct identifiers removed and no longer accessible in a way that links it to your account through normal platform operations

6. AI-Generated Summaries

Uptyrn uses artificial intelligence to generate summary insights for companies based on aggregated submission data. You acknowledge and agree that:

• AI summaries are generated from aggregated numerical response data only — not from individual submissions or personal information
• No personally identifiable information is used in the generation of AI outputs
• AI-generated summaries are indicative observations intended to surface general patterns, not factual statements, advice, or predictions
• Uptyrn does not guarantee the accuracy, completeness, or appropriateness of AI-generated content

7. Account Deletion & Data Retention

You may delete your account at any time. Upon account deletion:

• Your personal account information (email, username, and profile data) will be permanently removed from our active systems
• Submissions you have made may be retained in a permanently dissociated form, meaning direct identifiers linking the submission to your account are removed
• Retained submissions are stored without personal identifiers and are not accessible in a way that allows them to be linked back to your identity through normal platform operations
• This retention is necessary to preserve the integrity and consistency of the platform's historical data

8. A Note on Limitations & Liability

We've built Uptyrn with care, but we want to be upfront with you: the platform is provided as-is, and we can't make promises about every outcome. Here's what that means in plain terms:

• We can't be held responsible for decisions you make based on data shown on the platform
• We're not liable for hiring outcomes, job rejections, or career decisions influenced by what you read here
• We don't have control over inaccuracies in user-submitted data
• Occasionally the service may be unavailable — we'll do our best to minimise this

9. Our Right to Modify or Remove Content

Uptyrn reserves the right, at its sole discretion, to:

• Remove, edit, or flag any submission that is suspected to be false, abusive, or in violation of these terms
• Suspend or permanently terminate any user account without prior notice
• Modify, suspend, or discontinue any part of the platform or service at any time
• Update these Terms of Use at any time, with notice provided where required by law

Continued use of the platform after any modification to these terms constitutes your acceptance of the revised terms.

10. Privacy Policy

Use of this platform is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which is incorporated into these Terms of Use by reference. The Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, store, and protect your personal data in accordance with GDPR and applicable privacy laws. By using Uptyrn, you also agree to our Privacy Policy.

11. Governing Law & Jurisdiction

These Terms of Use are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Sweden, without regard to its conflict of law provisions. As a platform operating within the European Union, Uptyrn also complies with applicable EU regulations including GDPR.

For users based in the United Kingdom, these terms are also subject to the UK GDPR and the Data Protection Act 2018. Any disputes arising from your use of the platform shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the Swedish courts, unless otherwise required by applicable consumer protection law in your country of residence.
